We had Jazzy's catered to our firm for lunch today and let me tell you...The smoked brisket was BOMB! It was so tender and the hot BBQ sauce topped it off beautifully. I also have a thing for trying coleslaw everywhere I go (super picky) and I had to leave a review that Jazzy's did NOT disappoint. Not too heavy on the sauce with great flavors! All in all, I didn't want to fall asleep on my desk, so the pairing made for a delish lunch and will have to visit and try more options for dinner!

Mini Pecan Pie - RUN get it !!! A must ... Absolutely delicious.. the ribs were meaty / fall off the bone perfect. Dine in experience was exceptional. I came in during lunchtime on a Friday around 1pm & everything tastes delicious. Definitely coming back for some more ribs togo. My daughter loves the seasoning on the fries.

Place was empty, but several groups came in as we were ordering. The bbq sauce is the best in any place I ever had. Portions were a bit on the light side IMHO. I had the rib basket. Very good. Awesome coleslaw and beans.

I don't get to visit Jazzy's as much as I'd like but they do have pretty good bbq. After learning more about the story of this Tampa local gem I had to come visit for lunch. I'm very critical when it comes to Mac n cheese so I wasn't too impressed but it was ok. The ribs were good and flavorful but some of my ribs were a little dry/slightly over cooked. Now the sweet potato pie was heavenly. Very delicious. Overall a good barbecue spot if you need a fix. The staff was very friendly and the service was good.

A Tampa icon. An iconic looking building that says BBQ. Sooty chimney, stacks of oak and a fire pit emitting oaky smoke. It felt really good to return to Jazzy's. It's been way too long. Living an hour away, we don't get the chance to hang out in the area much. This weekend found me within slurping distance, so I made sure to land there for dinner. (Close to the airport and water. Well, Waters Ave) LOL It seems like I'm ALWAYS craving ribs. Anytime I smell oaky smoke, I'm thinking ribs. Anytime I smell BBQ sauce, I'm thinking ribs. Anytime I smell anything BBQ, I'm thinking RIBS! That's how I roll. Naturally then, I ordered RIBS. I got the Large Rib plate. Of course. I chose Potato Salad and BBQ Beans as my two sides. The sides were on point and what I expected. Nothing makes your mouth water more than having a stack o' meaty, juicy ribs placed in front of you. I'm fighting that mouthwatering feeling right now! Dang. Service is friendly and the food comes out fast! Ohhhh man! Did those ribs look good! Plenty of them. Plenty of meat ON them. With a nice crispy bark on the outside. Yessss! I happen to intensely love the BBQ sauce. The owner, Johnny Ray came up with the recipe years ago, in a God given dream. (As I found out later that night) That sauce is some mighty Heavenly stuff. The ribs make it so easy to sop up that sauce. And slurp slurp slurp away at all the flavors exploding around you. Ain't no dainty way to eat ribs. Pick 'em up. Two hands. Go for it. Ain't no way you wanna waste any of that perfectly cooked meat, either. Sop 'em in that awesome sauce and gobble 'em up. I am SOOOOO glad I got the chance to stop in and rib out. I am also VERY glad there was another icon in it, for me. I finally met Mister Johnny Ray Smith. He was sorting through the oak firewood out back as I was leaving. I was compelled to walk over and chat with him. Almost an hour later, we parted ways. I was full. Of incredible food and a good feeling from a new friend.

Very rustic in appearance. Apparently, Jazzy was voted 'Best Barbeque' in Tampa. I don't know if it's the best, but it beats some other places I've tried. Got the small/regular rib dinner which includes three bones and your choice of 2 sides. Side choices are the usual, collards, potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, Mac&cheese. I chose greens and Mac. Greens were a little bland but the mac & cheese was good enough to wanna slap Jazzy's mama! You get a choice of sauce, hot or mild. I went mild and it really was. The girl at the counter was not very welcoming. But it took no time for the good to come out. And everything was hot...did I mention how good the mac & cheese was?
